AN ACT

To require the President to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to further the United States foreign policy objective of promoting the reduction of global poverty, the elimination of extreme global poverty, and the achievement of the United Nations Millennium Development Goal of reducing by one-half the proportion of people worldwide, between 1990 and 2015, who live on less than $1 per day.

Why aren’t people talking about the Global Poverty Act (S. 2433)?

I'm not finding a lot of mention on this bill. I did find the listing of the members of Senate Foreign Relations Committee that voted to pass this bill. (listed above)

I see that Senator Obama sits on this committee.
.
I'm not hearing anything - anywhere - in the media.
.
I cannot find any voting list on this bill as well.
.
I have not heard back from my Congressman on this issue as of yet. I'm not surprised on that as of yet. He sent me a letter once that took a bit to get to me.

I have to look up my State Senator to send him a letter as well.
