I can now recognize how hurtful something can be cloaked in the context of 'humor' - that would on the surface appear as busting on, or a spoof - maybe in reality hiding an undercurrent of meanness with the real intention of defaming, scorn or undermining.

What could appear as harmless fun could in reality hurt someone - making them the object of being laughed at, scorned or being put down.

Humor can be just as sharp as candor I see.
