Boscov's Seems To Have Decided On A Bit Of Neutering Of Christmas This Year

To: custservgeneral@boscovs.com

Subject: It beginning to look a lot like Boscov's has lost it's Christmas spirit.

Hello:

I was going to recommend you as a Christmas friendly store to the Liberty Counsel, because last year you were quite Christmas friendly. I shopped this year, and last year due to that.

Until I checked your online site.

I noticed a difference of tone between this year and last year on your online site and in your circulars. I noticed that on your site Christmas is mainly neutered to "Holiday". The only way that I found Christmas mentioned was in 'search'.

I'm dismayed about this.

I brought my grandson shopping in your store this evening. I noticed that the store was quite festive. I liked that the Salvation Army was allowed in front of the store - which I'm happy about.

I noticed that Boscov's was not listed on the 'Nice' list of stores who honored Christmas, who are not giving into this spirit of political correctness. I am mainly shopping only in stores who uphold my favorite American holiday.

I do not wish to see your store to continue along this path of negating Christmas to such a watered down term such as "Holiday". I would like to see it appear at least once on your front page site - like last year, and I would like Christmas trees called what they are - Christmas trees. Not neutered to simply "trees".

Since I'm seeing that Boscov's is starting down this alarming path, when I go shopping with my granddaughter I will continue to keep in mind the 'Nice' list from the Liberty Counsel.

After all Christmas is for my grandchildren, and I don't wish to take them to stores that spoil it for them and for me.

It's looking like Boscov's will be on the "Naughty" list soon which is too bad.

I look forward to your response.

Assuredly in faith,

Note: I have certain items from Bravenet.com like Guestbook, free links, etc. I do not have control over the banner or pop-up advertisements that appear on the sites of these items. I am dismayed at some of the content of the advertisements, but with limited funds it isn't always practical to upgrade in order to remove them. My plan is to only upgrade as needed.
